CGA and GAWDA announce Distributor Safety Award Winner

Beaumont, Texas [November 4,2015] —The national Compressed Gas Association (CGA) and the Gases and Welding Distributors Association (GAWDA) are pleased to announce Southeast Texas based Coastal Welding Supply as the winner of this prestigious CGA and GAWDA Distributor Safety Award. Established in 2011, the award promotes safety awareness as an extension of the Associations’ missions and recognizes companies that show the greatest improvement in safety performance over a five-year period. Coastal was the inaugural recipient of the award in 2011. This year’s award is the second for the 52-year-old, second generation company, with nine locations throughout Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana.

This year, over 70 companies submitted their 2014 safety data to be considered for the award. The award is presented in two categories based on the submitting company’s total number of employee exposure hours. Representatives from the winning companies were recognized at the GAWDA Annual Convention in Scottsdale, Arizona, on October 14, 2015.
